You've been hearing people talk about it: the waves, the people. Beautiful out of National Geographic views. Inviting locals. You've worked hard, saved up, sorted your schedule, booked your flight your all set, but you've never been there before. Where are the best beaches, hangout spots but most importantly what do you wear?? It's never any fun to get to a place and have no idea where to go, what to pack, or where everyone hangs out. Even if you have done your research theres still those hidden gems that only a few know about. The style in Bali is relaxed. Think bikinis, beachy, flowy, denim shorts, hats, light floral prints, crop tops. Anything loose and comfortable is the way to go. Be sure not to pack too heavy, you want to leave room for all the amazing market finds you'll be taking back with you. (Bali has an amazing artisan community in Ubud about an hour scooter ride inland. You can find anything from handmade silver jewelry to ukuleles!) Get the look: Shopvandevort 006, Padma, Legian and Dreamland, are all great beaches in Kuta worth checking out. There's plenty of beach dining available to grab a comfy bean bag chair have a cocktail and watch a gorgeous sunset. Balangan, Bingin, Padang Padang, and Uluwatu are great surf spots. If you don't surf you can sit back relax have a fresh just off the tree coconut on white sand, while getting a full body massage from a little Indonesian woman for just $2! Bali nightlife is INSANE! You've been warned. Straw hut is awesome for great cocktails and a good spot to have dinner. Their roasted pumpkin salad is definite must try. Single fin is an amazing bar overlooking Uluwatu, best for a sunset session with an ice cold Bintang. Taco tuesdays at Deus in Canggu is also fun. Free tattoos and cheap tacos you can't beat that! Poco Loco in Legian does the same thing on Thursdays featuring amazing local DJs. Last but certainly not least is Eikon in the heart of Kuta. If you want to rage till the early hours of the morning fist pumping to hip hop and top 40 hits, Eikon is the place to go. Definitely has it's charm. Eikon tends to get a bit a crazy so hold on to your wallets. Wear some comfortable shoes and hope you remember the nights events the next morning. Safe travels!
Lots of love and good vibes
