VDV Life Hack: Make Store-Bought Hummus Taste Home-Made
Big news! Through trial and error, we have finally discovered a fool-proof recipe for transforming store-bought hummus into a snack that will fool all of your friends into thinking you spent hours in the kitchen. This recipe is so simple it will undoubtedly become your new go-to party appetizer or late-night snack.
What you need:
1. 1 container of original hummus (We recommend Trader Joe's)
2. 1/2 lemon (Juice)
3. Red pepper flakes (1 Tsp)
4. Cumin (1/2 Tsp)
5. Salt (Pinch)
6. Pepper (Pinch)
This recipe is so simple...all you have to do is add the ingredients above straight into the hummus container. Add the lemon juice, red pepper flakes, cumin, salt, and pepper then stir to combine! Original store-bought hummus is usually a little flavor-less...so this recipe really punches up the flavors. Serve the hummus with fresh veggies or mix with quinoa for a dinner option. The cool thing about this recipe is the fact that you can make it however you like it; if you love it spicy, you can always add more red pepper flakes & if you love lemon, add more lemon!
XOXO,
VDV
