#TBT: 2 Throwback Jackets Reinvented

Today's Throwback Thursday is dedicated to outerwear! Even though the weather is warming up here in Southern California, we know that most of America is still suffering through winter temperatures! We want to take the edge off of it a little and show you a few fashionable ways to warm up. Today we are throwing it back to the 60s and early 70s to show some classic jackets and how they have been re-imagined today! Our first throwback is the Plaid Jacket. Plaid jackets have been a fashion staple forever, and they are constantly being re-shaped and re-mastered into a completely new form, giving off a completely new fashion vibe. The plaid jacket has always been a bold fashion choice. The print alone will cause people to stare, so you have to be prepared for all eyes to be on you. Our throwback is of Brigitte Bardot in a plaid trench coat moment. This #TBT is pretty classic. Our VDV reinvented version is Asilio The Label: "Over the Love Coat" and is a completely different and modern take on such a classic piece.  It really is true what they say, what's old is always new again. e0ce1d7c70109322d0a22d8555e06bf3coat_1024x1024 Our next throwback is of the classic Penny Lane coat featured in Almost Famous. This jacket was a staple for hippies and groupies all over the USA in the late 1960s and early 1970s and we are still completely obsessed. Kate Hudson rocked this look as Penny Lane, and we want to do the same in a more modern jacket. With our Somedays Lovin Almond Bluff Fur Collar Coat, you get the 70s bohemian vibe, but it also feels modern because of the light pink color. We seriously can't get enough of this jacket. It also is a great winter-to-spring transition piece. stela-9-fashion-moments-almost-famouspinkpuff3_1024x1024 See? What's old is new again! XOXO, VDV
