Travel Tuesday: Downtown San Diego
Happy Travel Tuesday!!
We're really excited about this installment of TT because we've decided to have ourselves a little stay-cation! Everyone on the east coast has us inspired to stay close to home this week...and although we don't have Winter Storm Juno as an excuse...we are super busy over at VDV HQ so staying close to home seems practical.
Van De Vort is located in sunny Del Mar, which is North County, San Diego...so for a little switch-up...we're headed into downtown for a night to enjoy some of the new fun spots SD has to offer! Downtown SD is a bit more urban than our current beach-side residence, so we think it'll feel like a getaway.
We've chosen to stay at Hotel Solamar for our overnight trip! This hotel is seriously cute and has a rooftop pool which is basically the most important feature of any hotel for a VDV Babe. For dinner we're hitting Bottega Americano, a super-chic Italian spot with Pinterest-worthy decor. The whole restaurant has dark wood and white marble all over...and also tons of macaroons. Bottega Americano is the sister restaurant of Bottega Louie located in LA, and they're famous for their pastries and most importantly...did we mention their macaroons?! We can't wait!
For this mini trip..we have the perfect outfit. We feel like pairing our new MinkPink Butterfly Effect Crop Top with our latest Somedays Lovin Persistence Lace Maxi Skirt. For this look, were adding our new LLR Hopeless Dreamer Wool Felt Floppy Fedora Hat for an urban edge and our native San Diego Child of Wild Lakshmi Goddess Faux Nose Ring to funk-up the outfit. During the day we plan on wearing our fav Raen Remmy Smoke Cobalt Sunnies and we're also packing another native San Diego designer For Love & Lemons Knitz Happy Hour Sweater for obvious reasons!
Happy Travels!
XOXO,
VDV
