Fall's Biggest Denim Trends Done Right

Skirt The Issue
Denim skirts are back, and (thankfully) looking way different than we remember them. Gone are the frayed hemlines, low-slung hips or cringe-y lace underlays à la your Abercrombie days. That's all been replaced by high-waist hemlines, button front detailing and darker washes, and this Free People Come Closer Denim Skirt is the ideal specimen. We love it with a neutral colored keyhole top blouse and sleek, center parted hair for a modern take on the trend.
All Tied Up
We love these Somedays Lovin Dylan Stretch Denim Flares for so many reasons: the super high waist, woven waistband detailing and the five button fly, just to name a few. And you just can't deny the flower child vibes these flares are giving off, especially when paired with a floral print wrap crop top. This look is perfect for the boho babe who wants to throw it back in the realest way possible--extra points if you can pull of the Farrah Fawcett-esque feathered hair.
On-Trend Textures
Sure, you could play it safe and a tuck a white tee into your flares and call it a day--but what would be the fun in that? These lighter wash Free People Pull On Flares are perfect for pairing with a black and white woven texture mock neck tank in warmer weather. When cooler temps hit, layer up this dark wash version with a faux suede tank and a chunky fringe cardigan. In some cases less is more, but this definitely isn't one of them.
More Flare, More Fun
Some people say that a voluminous top should be balanced out by close-fitting bottoms. We're not those people. In our minds the more flare, the better. Team a pair of your most dramatic kick flares with an equally as daring flared sleeve top. Our favorites are this Stone Cold Fox Taurus blouse with a keyhole neckline and velvet detailing, and this Free People Stars Aligned Top with clean lines, in a pretty cream color.
