Last Minute Music Festival Must-Haves
Weekend two of Coachella is upon us!! As we're scrambling to pack our bags before cramming into cars and boarding flights en route to Indio, we're finding ourselves adding a couple of last minute, must-have items to our lists. Desert weather is NO JOKE, and if years past are any indication, you really cannot anticipate what'll happen out on the Empire Polo Fields (Tupac hologram anyone!?). Be ready for anything with these music festival must-haves.
Shield yourself from the harsh desert sun with a felt fedora. Shade is definitely hard to come by, and by the time night falls you'll be so over having your hair in your face and a hat like this one by Janessa Leone will be a lifesaver.
Two Pairs of (Comfortable) Shoes
AT LEAST. Even if you do decide to brave it and wear wedges to a pool party or sport brand new, not-yet-broken-in boots to the festival, make sure to bring at least two pairs backups. Yes, you wanna look cute, but you also want to be able to walk. We're big fans of a pair of lace-up gladiators and our go-to black ankle booties.
Sunnies That Go With Everything
Resist the temptation to bring every pair of sunnies in your collection. The chances that they'll get lost, scratched or broken are way too high this weekend. Pick one pair that will go with everything, and keep tabs on 'em! Nothing worse than heading into day three with no sunnies in sight.
Don't load yourself down with accessories. A bandana makes a cute choker or headscarf, and inevitably, a dust shield when the storms hit. And unlike the vintage pieces passed down from mom or the anniversary gift from your boo, if you lose this one it's no big deal.
One pieces have been making a serious comeback recently, and we love the versatility of them. You can wear this one by Beach Riot to all the pool parties (obvs), then tuck it into a pair of denim shorts and wear it as a bodysuit. The neutral dot pattern on this one makes it easy to pair with almost anything else you've packed.
You've likely already packed this piece, but we think it bears repeating. Leave the clutches, heavy satchels and shoulder bags at home. A small, lightweight cross body bag that fits all the necessary items and can be worn over either shoulder or across your body (duh) is all you need this weekend.
