How-to: Picnic

It’s time to get some fresh air. Nothing beats a spring picnic - warm weather, gorgeous sunsets, good food and great company. Plus, it’s an excuse to dress cute and take pictures with friends. Here's some inspiration from the VDV girls for you to pack your bags accordingly:

Snacks

The four food groups of a picnic are cheese, crackers, fruit, and veggies. The VDV girls love brie, manchego, and creamy toscano. Spring produce has begun to flourish! We’re talking juicy red strawberries, ripe apricots, celery, carrots, and sugar snap peas.

Drinks

Tons of options here. Lemonade, sparkling tonics, kombucha, and juice are all thirst-quenching options. For a boozy picnic, bring hard seltzers, wine, or a refreshing cocktail. You can find great recipes in this book.

The set-up

You’ll need a cutting board to put the charcuterie on, as well as utensils and napkins. Other things you’ll need are blankets to sit on, a speaker to play music, and a trash bag.

Now it’s time for the fun part - picking out an outfit!

Here’s what the VDV girls styled:
Hat: Melodic Fedora in Ivory by Lack of Color
Sunnies: Number One by Kevin Walker
Earrings: Siren Drop Earring by Joy Dravecky
Sandals: Cabana by Matisse
We hope we gave you some springtime inspo! Have fun on your next picnic and remember to tag @shopvandevort in your photos!
XOXO,
VDV
